NZSki expands ‘Superpass’ to include access to 10 ski resorts across New Zealand
April 3, 2025

NZ Ski has expanded its ski ‘Superpass’ to now offer access to 10 ski resorts across New Zealand. Superpass gives skiers and riders the option to visit any of the 10 ski resorts, or swap day pass credit for après experiences when a break off-piste is needed.

Previously, Superpass included NZSki mountains only – Coronet Peak, The Remarkables and Mt Hutt.  Superpass now includes the following 10 ski resorts:

  1. Coronet Peak, Queenstown
  2. The Remarkables, Queenstown
  3. Mt Hutt, Methven
  4. Snowplanet, Auckland
  5. Turoa, Ruapehu
  6. Whakapapa, Ruapehu
  7. Porters, Castle Hill
  8. Roundhill, Tekapo
  9. Mt Dobson, South Canterbury
  10. Ohau, Mackenzie

NZSki Chief Executive Paul Anderson enthused “bringing together 10 of New Zealand’s most iconic ski areas under one pass is really exciting. More flexibility gives guests peace of mind when purchasing their pass allowing them to explore more mountains, chase the best conditions, and make the most of winter.

“Superpass not only supports winter tourism destinations across the country but also encourages international visitors to discover more of what New Zealand has to offer. By enabling regional dispersal of skiers, we’re helping spread the benefits of winter tourism to more communities than ever before.”

Andrew Waddel, General Manager – Australia, Tourism New Zealand adds “Winter in New Zealand is unlike anywhere else, with so much you can experience both on and off the mountain, all in close proximity. You could be skiing, stargazing and soaking in a hot tub, all in one day.

“We know this time of the year, Australians will be thinking of their next winter holiday and equally keeping an eye on the snow conditions. The Superpass gives travellers the flexibility to book their winter holiday early and explore more of New Zealand, without feeling locked into a date to be on-mountain.”

While in New Zealand, travellers will be able to swap a Superpass for credit and choose from more than 60 après activities and experiences. Whether it’s enjoying Queenstown’s vibrant dining scene, indulging in a bit of retail therapy, or taking part in adventure activities in Canterbury, there’s something to suit everyone.

Superpasses are available to purchase online from nzsuperpass.com. Alternatively, from Coronet Peak, The Remarkables or Mt Hutt ski areas. It is either a day-pass or a multi-day pass, not a season pass or a saver pass.

How do I use a Superpass?
Once guests have purchased their Superpass they can use it at any of the 10 Superpass mountains or exchange credit for one of 50 après activities and experiences in either Canterbury or Queenstown. It is up to the guest how they use their Superpass. 1 Superpass = 1 day skiing at 1 of the 10 ski areas. Or 1 Superpass = credit towards any 1 après experience or activity.

How do I redeem a Superpass?
Guests use the unique code on the back of their MyPass card. Take their MyPass card straight to any Superpass mountain or partner to redeem their credit or pass. If guests don’t have a MyPass card they can log into their MyPass account and find their unique code.
