Pelotone, the first dedicated indoor cycle studio in Western Sydney, has opened at Norwest Business Park in the suburb of Bella Vista.

Providing cyclists with world class training systems and accomplished cycle coaches, Pelotone includes a 55-bike state-of-the-art studio, full service lockers, change rooms with showers, hang-out lunch lounge, merchandise boutique, refreshments and free parking directly outside the studio.

The studio is part of a rise in cycle-only gyms that began in the US and is gaining traction in Australia and takes its name from the cycling term 'peloton'.

Created by former business executive Karen Newham, who had long held a strong passion for cycling, the studio aims to cater for not only regular cyclists looking for a safer environment to train, but to also the active-minded person looking to use cycling to get fit, lose weight and improve their mental well-being.

Newham explains "Pelotone provides options for indoor and outdoor cyclists. We have a safe, supportive and fun environment ... for people from all walks of life.

"There will be no lock in contracts, just pay as you ride."

Pelotones Spinning® bikes have been supplied by Blue Fitness, while the studio is using the iQniter Cardio training system for its performance metrics.

It is also one of three new official training facilities in Australia running Spinning® Education - the largest and most well-known indoor cycle instructor course.
