read moreOn World Tourism Day, 27th September, regional tourism development consultancy Tilma Group is launching a program that contributes to the resilience of regional, rural and remote communities.
Tilma Group have established a donation program to contribute 1% of revenue each year to the Prepare & Recover grant program of the Foundation for Regional and Rural Renewal (FRRR).
FRRR’s Prepare & Recover grants enable regional communities to implement initiatives that prevent, prepare for, and recover from climate change related impacts and disasters.
The donation program is part of Tilma Group’s ongoing business for good initiatives, including reducing emissions, and inspiring and enabling others in the tourism and events industries to do so as well.
Tilma Group provides strategic development services that enable regional and rural communities across Australia to develop a sustainable local tourism and events industry.
Tilma Group Director, Linda Tillman advises “Tilma Group’s clients regularly benefit from FRRR’s grants, so the partnership is a great fit. I’ve put Tilma Group on a business for good path because I’ve recently been mentoring other business owners, and I’ve been exposed to and inspired by the wide variety of ways they are making their communities better.
“It feels good to give back to the communities that support my business.”
Tilma Group is also undergoing the process to become a B Corporation. B Corps are leaders in the global movement for an inclusive, equitable, and regenerative economy, meeting a high standard of social and environmental sustainability.
Tilma Group’s clients and industry colleagues will be able to join Tilma Group in contributing to the grant program, through the donation page
