read moreThe organisers of the Golf Business Forum have revealed its initial line-up of speakers for the 2020 event in Melbourne.
Working together with event partner, the Australian Sports Turf Managers Association and foundation partner, Golf Australia, being held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on 23rd and 24th June, will be addressed by recently appointed National Basketball League Commissioner, Jeremy Loeliger; Karen Fitzgerald, Global Manager - Experiences at Tourism Australia; Carla Armanet, Director, Sport and Recreation at the Botanic Gardens and Centennial Parklands in NSW and Jay Karen, Chief Executive of the National Golf Course Owners Association in the USA.
Commenting on the speaker line-up, Forum’s Director, Guy Chapple stated “we’re thrilled to finally reveal Jeremy, Karen, Carla and Jay.
Additional speakers include leading customer service expert Jaquie Scammell; Don Rea, owner/operator of Augusta Ranch Golf Club in Arizona, USA; Ryan Brandeburg, Executive Director at, Golf Tourism New Zealand; and Ali Terai, founder and Chief Executive of Future Golf.
“In May 2019 we obtained some valuable feedback from the golf business community via our inaugural content survey and the data was pretty clear. Top of mind for most contributors were four key themes: customer, marketing, leadership and industry trends and insights - including driving golf participation.
“These insights will very much drive the content for our 2020 Forum and our first speaker announcement is testament to that. Whilst the announcement only forms a small part of our broader speaker line-up, it gives our audience a taste of what’s to come, with our final line-up to be released in early February 2020.”
After conducting one of the opening keynote presentations at the inaugural Forum in 2016, this will be Jay Karen’s second time being involved in the event.
Over 400 delegates from all segments of the golf industry are expected to attend Golf Business Forum 2020, which will also include the Golf Business and Sports Turf Trade Exhibition - the largest and most diverse golf and sports field industry exhibition ever staged in Australia – as well as networking events.
Golf’s major industry organisations, including Golf Australia and the PGA of Australia are supporting the Forum, along with premium commercial partners Toro, Club Car, Victorian Government, Yamaha, Schweppes, Soniq and Qantas.
Discounted early-bird delegate tickets are now available for the event.
