Sports Commission proud to partner with the National Sports Convention
July 11, 2018

The Australian Sports Commission (ASC) has released a statement announcing that it is “proud” to be a partner of the 2018 National Sports Convention, being held next week at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The statement adds “with the integration of the ASC’s Our Sporting Futures Conference, the National Sports Convention is now Australasia’s Australasia’s largest community sport and recreation knowledge sharing event.”

The ASC has also reveleaed that having performed the role of Master of Ceremonies at the Our Sporting Futures Conference last year, former Olympian Nicole Livingstone is returning to lead the NSC event.

After representing Australia as a swimmer at three Olympic Games, Livingstone has gone on to make her mark in both television media and business. She will be hosting the Global Keynote Forum and the National Community Sport Conference at this year’s NSC.

ASC Chief Executive Kate Palmer will be a global keynote speaker on the first day of the convention, and speak during the keynote sessions of the National Community Sport Conference.

Other ASC staff to present during the conference include: General Manager, Marketing Customer Insights and Analytics Louise Eyres; Director, Culture and Leadership Merrilee Barnes; acting Assistant Director, School Engagement and Partnerships Penny Carlson, Director, Coaching and Community Kevin Thompson; and Deputy Director, AIS Athlete Wellbeing and Engagement Matti Clements.
