Sports Tech College partners with Sunshine Coast Council for upskilling ahead of Brisbane 2032 Games

Sports technology educator the Sports Tech College has signed a partnership deal with Sunshine Coast Council to play a pivotal role in offering sports technology education, sports innovation and digital transformation on the Sunshine Coast ahead of the Brisbane 2032 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games.

Commenting on the partnership, Sports Tech College founder, Matt Dobell advised “we are delighted to partner with the Sunshine Coast Council, together we are well positioned to help train and develop the future pipeline of talent that will be pivotal to the Brisbane 2032 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games. We are excited to amplify, accelerate and transform the region’s future on a global stage. This is a world first where the program will be offered to all schools in the area funded by the council.

“Digital technology is transforming the sports world, dramatically impacting how products are developed and managed and how talent connects with audiences. We are now firmly at the forefront of this education areas best practice.

“The future generations need to be learning about this amazing sector at school, and The Sunshine Coast is the first LGA in Australia to adopt this delivery. They are serious about developing and retaining talent”.

On Tuesday 23rd April at UNISC, Sports Tech College and The Sunshine Coast Council are running a masterclass on Sports Technology and Innovation. Local start up Coach Welly is one of the guest speakers attending.

Partnering together Sport Tech College and Sunshine Coast Council will deliver world-class executive education, offering micro-credentials and accreditation programs aimed at schools, C-level and senior industry decision makers at the intersection of the business of sport, entertainment, and gaming.

The new education programs in sports technology and sports innovation will explore cutting-edge approaches for driving revenue and success in today's entertainment environment. How we allocate resources more strategically, respond to advancements in digital technology, make better investments and how to establish long-term competitive advantage in the new sports economy will be key features of program delivery.
