Swimming WA has announced a new commercial arrangement with VenuesWest that will see the venue operator back the peak body for swimming in Western Australia over the next three years.

Swimming WA Chief Executive Darren Beazley is delighted with the partnership, stating “Swimming WA is extremely pleased to have the support of VenuesWest for the next three years.

“The team at VenuesWest understands that the sport of swimming is currently going through a resurgence and flexibility on that what we are offering to the Western Australian community is important.

“I am delighted that we have been able to arrive at a partnership that recognises a greatly increased level of professionalism in swimming, yet at the same time providing the Association with the ability to increase opportunities for Western Australians to get involved and experience the thrill of the sport in the best facilities our state has to offer."

The agreement between Swimming WA and VenuesWest will deliver enhanced benefits to Swimming WA members and will further cement the HBF Stadium as the home of swimming in Western Australia.

The agreement will also provide Swimming WA with increased opportunities to service sponsors in particular awarding them with greater prominence within HBF Stadium.

VenuesWest Chief Executive David Etherton stated "VenuesWest is committed to supporting WA’s athletes, both elite and community.

“Signing an agreement with Swimming WA that delivers tangible benefits to the organisation and its members demonstrates our ongoing commitment to the sport."

Swimming WA looks forward to working with VenuesWest more closely with the commencement of this agreement and to ensuring that swimming is an essential part of the Western Australia way of life.
