read moreSydney Olympic Park Authority has announced the appointment of Brett Morgan as its new Senior Manager, Marketing and Communications.
Morgan joins SOPA with almost two decades of experience in marketing and communications roles across sports, tourism and entertainment sectors having also won the Mumbrella Award for Bravery 2015 as the creative force behind Contiki’s hugely successful Japanese launch campaign, Robots Unrivalled.
Prior to joining Sydney Olympic Park Authority, he held a senior role at the Australian Football League, where he served as State Manager, Marketing and Media for the AFL NSW/ACT.
Morgan (pictured) also brings with him years of experience in tourism and entertainment having worked with Universal Music Group, Warner Music Group and EMI Music on global entertainment brands like U2, Metallica and Coldplay and helped launch the careers of Australian success stories such as Empire of the Sun, Boy & Bear and Havana Brown.
Announcing the appointment, SOPA Chief Executive Charles Moore said Morgan's appointment coincides with an exciting new era in Olympic Park's ongoing evolution , stating "Brett's skills as an innovative marketer make him a great fit for Sydney Olympic Park, as we execute our Master Plan which will deliver a vibrant economy with a growing community of workers, residents and students.
“I'm confident that Brett's track record as a brand builder and communicator will see him lead the Authority's Marketing and Communications team with great gusto and creativity.”
