Sydney’s Unique Venues Association gets industry relaunch

Sydney’s Unique Venues Association gets industry relaunch
April 7, 2018

The Sydney Unique Venues Association (SUVA) - the association that represents distinctive venues able to host events such as bachelor parties, wedding receptions, gala dinners, corporate conferences, film shoots and cocktail functions - has undertaken a relaunch event to highlight the versatility of the 60 unique locations offered by its members.

Held at Luna Park Sydney’s Coney Island the relaunch put the spotlight on charm and uniqueness of each venue, from sparkling harbour views to venues with educational and historical value or beautiful gardens and outdoor facilities. Many are Sydney icons and landmarks that offer a great alternative to traditional function centres, hotels and other venues.

A statement from the Association advises “with something for every occasion, SUVA has an unrivalled wealth of choice when it comes to venues.

“The very nature of SUVA venues often means little theming is required. In many cases you have the opportunity to combine your event with unique activities. Your guests could enjoy their favourite carnival ride, guided tours of the numerous galleries and museums, an afternoon at the races or even an active sporting day. When it comes to the all important business part of the day there is a perfect SUVA venue for your conference or meeting.”

The SUVA website offers an online venue finding service helping event planners, corporations and individuals alike find places ’outside the box’ including art studios or galleries, museums and theatres, entertainment venues, universities, theme parks, sporting grounds, historic sites and parklands.

A not for profit organisation, SUVA is dedicated to the promotion of unique venues as an alternate to traditional convention centres and hotels. The association is lead by a team of dedicated industry professionals who all work in unique venues.
