Table Tennis Australia has announced the appointment of Nicole Adamson as its new Chief Executive.

Currently the Executive General Manager of Participation at AusCycling, a statement from Table Tennis Australia (TTA) has advised that “Nicole brings a wealth of experience from various national participation roles within Cricket Australia and Cycling Australia”.

The statement adds “Nicole’s impressive sporting background also includes significant contributions in High Performance roles. She began her journey as a pathways coach at the Victorian Institute of Gymnastics and later assumed the roles of High Performance Manager Diving at the Victorian Institute of Sport and High Performance Manager Golf at the Australian Institute of Sport.”

Adamson’s career has also seen her spend eight years in the private health insurance sector, where she held roles such as Head of Strategy, Diversified Businesses, National Program Manager for Health and Wellbeing, and Senior Corporate Development Manager at Medibank Private.

She also worked for the International Management Group (IMG), a prominent athlete and entertainment representative agency, as a Senior Client Manager.

Announcing the appointment, TTA President, Graham Symons highlighted her diverse career background in sports administration, commercialisation, and health promotion, praising her reputation as a resourceful and highly competent sports administrator, a great team leader and a person of high integrity.

In response to her appointment, Adamson acknowledged table tennis as an inclusive sport that appeals to a broad range of the community, emphasising its potential to be a sport for everyone.

Adamson’s tenure with Table Tennis Australia is set to commence on 2nd October.
