Taking action today for tomorrow the theme for 2024 Sports Environment Alliance Summit
April 2, 2024

The Sports Environment Alliance (SEA) is counting down to its 2024 Summit being held at Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium on Wednesday 17th April 2024.

Focused on the theme of the The Future of Sport: Taking action today for tomorrow, the Summit is set to present an impressive list of speakers and roundtable discussions, giving attendees the opportunity to hear from and network with local and global industry leaders, as well as to collaborate, share, and learn from each other's challenges and success stories.

The program includes keynotes, panels and roundtable discussions on a range of important topics including major sporting events, climate and environmental governance and leadership, procurement and the circular economy in sport.

Speakers include:

  • Dr Sheila Nguyen, SEA co-founder and Board Director and Head of Sustainability, FIFA Women’s World Cup
  • Merrilee Barnes, Head of Games Impact and Legacy, Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games Organising Committee
  • Claire Poole, founder and Chief Executive, Sport Positive (UK)
  • Jeremy Arnold, Associate Principal Consultant, Bastion Reputation
  • Rebekah Chenney, Climate Governance Lead, Deloitte Australia
  • Adam Bishop, General Manager Growth & Development, Athletics Australia
  • Alexia Morgan, Group Manager, Business Improvement, Belgravia Health & Leisure Group
  • Peter Wearne, General Manager - Facilities, Melbourne Cricket Club
  • Marcus Reynolds, Chief Executive, Forest Green Rovers FC (UK)
  • Jennifer Nicita, Trademarks and Partnerships Manager, Forest Stewardship Council
  • Owen McLeod, Finance Manager, SA Aquatic and Leisure Centre

The day concludes with networking drinks and the presentation of the 2024 SEAChanger Awards.

Organisers advise “the SEA Summit provides a space for members and the greater sports community to learn, share knowledge, network and develop plans to implement within their respective communities.”
