TodayTix’s mobile Rush technology will give audiences $45 access to the Sydney Symphony Orchestra’s Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince™ In Concert, and $40 access to Star Wars: The Force Awakens in Concert, Beethoven Symphony No. 5, and Britten’s Peter Grimes in Concert.
For audiences new to the impact of hearing the Symphony live, leveraging the TodayTix mobile Rush ticketing technology will enable them to purchase tickets directly through the TodayTix app, opening the door to breathtaking symphonic events.
Sydney Symphony Orchestra Director of Marketing, Luke Nestorowicz advised “we are excited to be working with TodayTix and offering audiences the opportunity to immerse themselves in live orchestral music with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra.
“Through the mobile Rush ticketing, audiences will be able to experience music with some of the very best international artists and rediscover blockbuster movies as the Orchestra performs the entire score live on stage in tandem with the film. TodayTix is a fantastic platform – it’s smooth, easy to use and will offer brilliant value for everyone. People will be able to have a premium experience at an incredibly affordable price.”
TodayTix Director of Partnerships, Australia, Rachel Nossack added “we’re excited to partner with Sydney Symphony Orchestra to bring innovative concert experiences to Sydney-siders.
“For those who’ve not yet experienced the magic of Beethoven’s Fifth performed live, the tragic drama of Peter Grimes playing out against vivid musical seascapes, or getting dressed in their favourite Hogwarts house colours for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince™ in Concert, and experiencing the Oscar-winning score of Star Wars The Force Awakens, this mobile Rush series provides something for everyone at a truly accessible price point. We can’t wait to give all Australians a new experience of live music.”
To ‘unlock’ mobile Rush tickets, TodayTix users are asked to spread the word on their social media accounts. Once unlocked, the mobile Rush tickets are made available in-app at 9am on the morning of each performance – users need to get in quick before they’re snapped up by other lucky show goers.
TodayTix works with more than 1,400 partners to provide the best-priced tickets available in 15 markets around the world and has generated more than 11.6 million digital lottery entries and 2.3 million social shares through 900 activations to date, engaging the spontaneous nature of a younger audience and introducing a new generation of audiences to the venues.
