read moreLive entertainment business Trafalgar Entertainment has launched a new ticketing division, Trafalgar Tickets, while rebranding its HQ Theatres as Trafalgar Theatres.
The UK-based company has also announced a number of senior management changes as it consolidates its venue operations under one division.
Trafalgar Tickets will develop the company’s approach to regional ticketing, and drive developments and improvements in ticketing services.
The HQ Theatres brand will be retired and the 12 UK regional venues acquired by Trafalgar Entertainment in 2021 will become part of the new Trafalgar Theatres.
The new entity will also include Trafalgar’s flagship London venue Trafalgar Theatre as well as Olympia Theatre, set to open in the capital in a few years, and Theatre Royal Sydney.
Future venue acquisitions will also become part of the new division.
Trafalgar Entertainment has also announced changes to its senior leadership team to aid the newly created Trafalgar Theatres and Trafalgar Tickets.
Chris McGuigan has been appointed Group Commercial Director for Trafalgar Theatres, while Alvin Hargreaves has become the Group Operations Director.
Peter Brayshaw, who is currently the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Executive of Stagecoach Theatre Arts will join the Trafalgar Theatres team as Finance Director, Venues and Education. Stagecoach Theatre Arts is part of the Trafalgar Entertainment group.
Trafalgar Tickets will be led by Johan Oosterveld as the new division’s Chief Executive. Oosterveld joined Trafalgar from TodayTix Group in January.
In addition, Trafalgar Entertainment’s Chief Operations Officer Helen Enright and Business Affairs Director Andrew Hill will also play an active role as the venue and ticketing divisions develop.
Announcing the changes, Trafalgar Entertainment joint founder and Chief Executive, Rosemary Squire advised “we’re delighted to announce the creation of Trafalgar Theatres and Trafalgar Tickets in order to consolidate and unite all our venues under one name.
“Following our acquisition of HQ Theatres last year, this move sees the integration process fully realised as those 12 regional theatres become part of the Trafalgar family alongside our London and Sydney venues.
“Chris, Alvin, Peter and Johan - alongside Helen and Andrew - have years of industry experience and expertise between them, and we congratulate them on their new roles as they begin this exciting chapter in the continued growth of Trafalgar Entertainment.”
