Troy Bayliss Events’ Sydney Motorcycle Show, Australia's largest motorcycle exhibition, became the first organiser to use the Microsoft Windows-based kiosks at last week’s event at the International Convention Centre Sydney.
Connecting directly to the organiser’s TryBooking account, the kiosk is a solution that allows attendees to self-serve the purchase and printing of tickets. It is ideal for events or venues that want staff to focus on running their event and interacting with attendees instead of selling ticketing, reduce box office queues and give attendees an easy way to purchase, print and enter.
The kiosks are designed to handle large scale events including festivals, expos, conventions, conferences, agricultural shows and theatre shows. Tickets printed can then be scanned quickly using the TryBooking Scanning App. It can even be used as a voucher system where ‘tokens’ are required to purchase items.
The kiosks allow attendees to quickly and easily purchase tickets prior to, or during an event. The new hardware solution allows venues and event organisers to speed up transaction times and give customers the flexibility to purchase tickets on their own terms without visiting a box office or joining a queue. Event organisers benefit by putting their customers in control and eliminating cash handling. It also frees up event staff to focus on improving the customer experience and ensure the event is running smoothly. With booking and payment contained within the kiosks, purchasing tickets is set to become a much easier process.
Mark Petersen, Managing Director at Troy Bayliss Events, explained “TryBooking has been a seamless and enjoyable company to partner with on our online tickets and ticketing kiosks front of house for the recent 2017 Sydney Motorcycle Show.
“The reporting system is also extremely effective in producing live reports during and at the completion of the event. Highly recommended.”
TryBooking Chief Executive Jeff, McAlister added “our goal was to create a high-end solution that enables larger events to improve on the day experience and get the combined benefits of all our products including online ticketing, scanning and reporting.
“It was great to launch with a large blue chip event like the 2017 Sydney Motorcycle show where the kiosks ensured that everyone who arrived could get a ticket quickly.
“TryBooking’s technology suite continues to grow and cater for larger events, shows and conferences. Unifying our online ticketing, scanning apps and kiosks gives event organisers a seamless experience, backed by our famous customer support.”
The kiosks are perfect for high volume events with robust features that will see them becoming a staple at convention centres, venues, information centres and festivals, allowing for the quick purchase of tickets. The process is 100% self-contained with their own internet connection, payments and printing. Event organisers also have the option of personalising the kiosks with custom branding for greater brand recognition.
