Suncorp Stadium General Manager, Alan Graham said today that he had been made aware of people paying excessively inflated prices for tickets to the concerts through unauthorised outlets.
Graham explained "unfortunately, in many of these instances, these people will never see any tickets or their money again.
"I am aware of three operators selling tickets at excessively inflated prices - Red Circle along with 'worldticketshop' and 'ticketfinders' websites. People should avoid dealing with these shonks.
"While Queensland has some of the toughest anti-scalping ticket laws in the world, these operators are often being based overseas and stay on the move.".
Tickets purchased through these outlets may be cancelled by the venue.
Suspected cases of ticket scalping should be directed to the Queensland Police Service. Both buyers and scalpers of tickets risk fines of up to $2,000 and the cancellation of tickets.
Graham said the only way people can be assured of paying the correct prices and actually receiving their tickets was through the venue's official ticketing agent, Ticketek, concluding "Ticketek is the authorised ticketing agent for these concerts at Suncorp Stadium."
