Venue Safety and Security Exchange to return in July

Venue Safety and Security Exchange to return in July
March 5, 2024

Following the success of the inaugural the Venue Safety & Security Exchange (VSX) in 2023, event founder Eddie Idik of the Vital Protection Group has announced that the event is returning in 2024.

The only conference of its kind in Australia bringing together event safety practitioners from across the events sector, VSX will feature leading speakers who have been involved in the planning and execution some of the most notable local and international events.

To be held at the Hilton Hotel Sydney on 10th July, VSX will see security and event leaders sharing knowledge on the ever-changing environment and emerging risks that events. Mass gathering and event faces.

Introducing the event, VSX Chair Eddie Idik advises “venue operators and event organisers need to be looking at better ways of putting on events that enhance the customer journey.

“Event attendees are expecting events to be conducted in a safer way which includes better hygiene practices including non-contact screening equipment, overt cleaning teams and better communication pre and post events to name a few.”

Advising that the Conference’s inception was born from a gap in the market, with nothing that focuses specifically on the safety and security of events, Idik noted “coming from a major events security background and being involved in thousands of events throughout Australia, I’ve never come across an event that was just safety and security based for the events industry.

“There will be a big focus on event intelligence gathering using the latest technology including open source intelligence programs, counter terrorism alert systems and artificial intelligence.”

Idik is inviting sponsors and exhibitors to be part of the event.
