A new water sports facility offering kayaking and dragonboating is to be built on the shores of Singapore's Marina Bay.
Set to open at the start of 2014, the S$10-million People's Association (PA) Water-Venture facility in Marina East will offer training and meeting rooms, as well as a cafe with alfresco dining.

Introducing the development PA Executive Director Yam Ah Mee explained that the location was chosen as "it is near Gardens by the Bay (and) we wanted to have land- and water-based facilities together, so that residents from all over Singapore can appreciate Singapore's beauty."
PAssion WaVe@Marina Bay will be built with green features, including a rainwater-harvesting tank for irrigation, an energy-efficient air-conditioning system and a green roof covered with vegetation.
