The Women in Fitness Association (WIFA) has named leading industry professionals from around the world as part of its Foreign Ambassador Program.

As part of WIFA’s aims to back global collaboration and local support for professional women in the fitness industry the Ambassadors will represent the Association at events, oversee WIFA’s mentorship program in their country/region and work with a charity of their choice to support fitness and support of women.

In Australasia and Asia, Deborah Goldberg, Rachael Newsham (pictured) and Tracey Minnoch have been named the Global Ambassador in the region.

Covering Asia, Minnoch has 30 years of industry experience as group class trainer, personal trainer, training manager, mentor and fitness consultant. One of the original Master Trainers for Les Mills New Zealand, she has been employed by Fitness First Asia and Les Mills to grow their businesses in South East Asia.

For New Zealand, Newsham is Les Mills Program Director, leading the development of the BODYCOMBAT™ and SH’BAM™ programs.

Australia’s ambassador Goldberg is a fitness entrepreneur and founder of Airfitness with a professional life focussed on applications and software products that enhance how humans connect with technology to create more sustainable jobs in the fitness industry.

WIFA founder Lindsey Rainwater explains “our global presence is such a vital thread in the fabric of what makes WIFA so impactful to the women in the fitness industry.

“We believe that having foreign ambassadors will strengthen our ability to be relevant to all of the women of WIFA, we are very excited about the launch of this program.”

The WIFA Ambassador appointment timeframe is three years and is seen as a stepping stone to becoming a board member. Benefits of the program include membership dues for one individual executive membership for duration of the time of appointment.
