Women only swimming will be making a return to Aquamoves this Sunday, with Greater Shepparton City Council again partnering with 'This Girl Can - Victoria' to deliver sessions that empower women to be active and access Council facilities.

After seeking feedback on the program from the Greater Shepparton community in December last year, Council will now host women only swimming more regularly.

Advising that the program has had real success in building a supportive community of women who encourage each other to get out and be active, Greater Shepparton City Council Director Community, Louise Mitchell stated “we want all women to feel comfortable about physical activity and these sessions give participants an opportunity to focus on and enjoy getting active.

“It is our hope that the confidence gained by women during this program will lead to their participation in additional physical activity opportunities on offer in the community.”

Women only swimming will be held at Aquamoves from 5.30pm to 8.30pm on the first and third Sunday of each month, with access to the Centre’s indoor 25m, leisure and hydrotherapy pools, sauna and spas.
