Wyndham Council approves residents-only aquatic facility

Wyndham Council approves residents-only aquatic facility
February 26, 2016

A development at Wyndham Vale in outer western Melbourne has moved one step closer to opening a private aquatic centre and indoor waterpark.

The City of Wyndham Council recently approved Lotus Living’s first residents-only recreation centre at its Jubilee Wyndham Vale.

The multi-million-dollar project is set to feature a leisure pool, lap pool, waterslides, and a special interactive splash-zone area for children.

Lotus Living Project Director Daniel Smith said the facility was the first of many proposed resident-only clubs to be featured throughout Jubilee.

Smith explained "wWhat we are building for future residents is very special. This concept is an industry first and we want to continue to create a more unique community for our future residents.

“Jubilee’s water park will cater for all ages; our special splash zone will let kids and non-swimmers cool off in an interactive fun zone with water sprays, spurts and water cannons; and a lap pool and water slides ensure there will truly be something for everyone.

“In designing and creating the water park, we want to give our future residents a place they can enjoy with their kids, grandkids and generations to come. These incredible features will ensure the Jubilee community is a healthy, happy and enjoyable place to live.”

With over 20,000 residents expected to call Jubilee home over the next 15 years, Lotus Living will also develop a 5.4 hectare Town Centre including 8,000 metre² of retail and commercial space, as well as a 1.8ha Neighbourhood Centre, Child Care Centre and 77 hectares of parklands, playing fields and expansive green open spaces in order to service the growing population.

The aquatic facility park will now go out to construction tender with works expected to commence on the facility later this year.
