Creative New Zealand opens registrations for 2022 Pacific Arts Summit

Creative New Zealand opens registrations for 2022 Pacific Arts Summit
September 23, 2022

Creative New Zealand are inviting creatives of Pasifika heritage to register their in-person attendance at the 2022 Pacific Arts Summit in Wellington.

Held on 11th to 13th October at Te Papa Tongarewa, this event will bring together Pasifika artists, practitioners and organisations to discuss the future of Pacific arts.

A key focus of the summit will be looking at Creative New Zealand’s Pacific Arts Strategy 2018-2023 and its implementation over the past five years, as well as getting input into the next five-year strategy.

Priority will be given to creatives of Pacific heritage, because this event will contribute to the development of the Pacific Arts Strategy 2023 - 2028. There will be opportunities for engagement from the wider arts sector and communities following this event.

If you’re unable to participate in the event physically, there will be live-streamed sessions as well as other opportunities to discuss and have your say.

Following an incredibly difficult few years for New Zealand’s creative community, Creative New Zealand are excited to be able to finally bring together the Pasifika aiga in-person to talanoa, share food, and chart the future of Pacific arts together.

Registrations close mid-day Friday 7 October.
