Curved videoboards installed at Melbourne’s AAMI Park

Curved videoboards installed at Melbourne’s AAMI Park
June 17, 2023

Approaching the completion of $25 million upgrade program ahead of the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup, Melbourne’s AAMI Park has unveiled two new curved video screens.

Significantly larger than the previous screens at the venue which had been in operation since it opened in 2010, the videoboards offering enhanced resolution and presentation capabilities.

Funded by the Victorian Government, the upgrades at the venue have, in addition to the videoboards, included the introduction of LED sports lighting technology, LED advertising and wayfinding boards, along with a significant upgrade and reconfiguration of broadcast and corporate hospitality areas.

The upgrades commenced in January and will be completed ahead of the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup, with the first of six matches in Melbourne set for 21st July.

During the tournament, the venue will be known by its non-commercial name of Melbourne Rectangular Stadium.
