Highlow Fitness launches boutique HIIT subscription model

Highlow Fitness launches boutique HIIT subscription model
March 4, 2021

Highlow Fitness has announced the expansion of its HIIT For EveryBODY (HFE) program - a subscription-based model which enables fitness facilities and schools to offer their members a boutique HIIT experience and build a stronger exercise community.

An established Australian owned fitness and wellness company, Highlow Fitness is geared up to challenge the existing utilisation of fitness facilities, schools and local government assets.

Catering, since 2013, for all ages and all fitness levels, Mark Garrahy, General Manager and 25 year veteran of the fitness industry’ explains “we believe HighLow Fitness was ahead of its time in concept with ‘High’ intensity but ‘Low’ impact and now the larger market is crying out for exactly what we have been all about since our inception.”

HFE is looking to help fitness facilities and schools transform multi-purpose group training rooms currently providing mainly choreography-based sessions and in turn not satisfying the implosion and demand of boutique HIIT.

With over 10 different models selling franchises across Australia, Garrahy feels that the growing awareness and demand for HIIT sessions cannot be ignored and - being time efficient, community based and most importantly results driven - is here for the long-term.

Advising that HFE is the perfect solution for many facilities that need to take the category more seriously, Garrahy explains “our focus has always been on product integration and scientific programming, to ensure all levels can receive their desired workout.

“From an elite athlete to a beginner, to someone challenged with some muscle groups that require a lot of regressions, our offerings are now proven to satisfy diverse demographics. HFE is the vehicle for us to scale our success and help reciprocate in other facilities.”

With COVID-19 having changed the world in many ways and with group exercise hygiene and social distancing considerations are at the forefront for all facilities, Garrahy notes “pre COVID-19, our layout and the way all sessions were designed was already individualised to ensure that the wide audience we cater for gets the desired workout.

“Now with social distancing requirements in place we didn’t have to change a thing which was a bonus.

“So the whole market kind of pivoted to the way we were already operating. We believe this is a big reason why we got our member base back quickly and now have record growth since.”

Garrahy feels that school and local government recreation assets are ideal for the HFE concept to modernise and provide the appropriate exercise regime that will also increase engagement and participant frequency.

He points out that the HFE team are experts in design and layout and not limited to a ‘drop box’ model where multiple restrictions eliminate spaces that don’t fit the profile in shape and size of potential sites.

He adds “HFE is a cost effective repurpose solution based on a subscription fee that is less than half the cost of any other comparable in the industry. Comprehensive training and on-going support are other highlights of the model, with a supplier network to utilise and ensure successful implementation.”
