Owner closes CrossFit Territory facility to focus on Bali gym
April 6, 2021

Brendan Southwick, owner of the CrossFit Territory facility has closed the gym in the Palmerston suburb of Yarrawonga, announcing that he will focus his attention overseas business.

As reported by NT News, Southwick said the gym closure was a tough one, but that he will now focus on businesses such as their CrossFit gym The Paradise Bali in Sanur, Bali.

Southwick advised "three years ago we moved overseas due to business opportunities abroad. In that time the gym has been operating in management.

“The decision to close was not taken lightly however we felt it was time to move on from the beautiful Territory and focus on other areas. We are very grateful to have been able to help so many Territorians and shape the functional fitness scene that is today.”

Adding that he hoped participants at his gym continue with their fitness and pushed for good health and wellbeing in the community, Southwick went on to tel NT News “I have every faith in our community, that they will continue my life’s work in the Territory focusing on holistic, natural remedies of health and will push the agenda of personal responsibility of one’s health for a healthy NT."

He feels that Northern Territory residents are still in need of assistance when it came to fitness and wellbeing, concluding "there’s is still much work to do in the Northern Territory specifically education of young school aged Territorians and in remote communities where metabolic syndromes are on the rise.

“There has never been a more important time for our government to act.”

Members and those who had prepaid for sessions at the gym are in the process of being notified they will be refunded any outstanding payments.
