read moreThe 2024 Exercise New Zealand industry awards have seen Renee Diment-Phillps, co-founder of PWR Fit Studios in the Auckland suburb of Kumeu named Personal Trainer of the Year.
Presented on Saturday evening in Auckland as part of the Exericse New Zealand Conference (formerly FitEx), the Personal Trainer of the Year award recognises personal trainers who excel in their field.
In Diment-Phillps case, she is known for her unique approach to training women along with a dedication on to understanding and addressing women’s health issues in a way that sets her apart in the fitness industry.
The judges praised Diment-Phillps for her passion, empathy, and commitment, stating “Renee is doing incredible work in her unique approach to training women. Her dedication to understanding and addressing women’s health is truly remarkable. It’s clear that her passion and empathy shine through in everything she does, reflecting strong core values that underpin her programmes.
“Renee’s expertise in her niche market and her innovative use of technology to enhance programming and communication with clients make her an inspiring leader in the industry. Her sessions are known for their dynamic, mobility-focused techniques, empowering and transforming her clients in profound ways.”
The judges also commended Diment-Phillps’s ability to connect with her clients, noting her skill in creating strong rapport and adapting her approach to ensure clients feel engaged and supported, going on to say “in her sessions, Renee demonstrates an exceptional ability to connect with her clients. Key moments reveal her skill in adapting her approach to ensure her clients feel engaged and supported, especially when they are fatigued or struggling to connect with certain areas of their bodies.
“With her deep knowledge, innovative strategies, and heartfelt commitment to empowerment, Renee is set to continue making waves in not only the exercise industry, but for women's health and well-being for years to come.”
ExerciseNZ President Richard Beddie added “at ExerciseNZ, we celebrate the unique approach and passion that Renee displays which has fittingly won her the Personal Trainer of the Year at the 2024 Exercise Industry Awards.
