read moreThe latest addition to the Jonas Leisure portfolio of brands, Udio, has the potential to deliver improved efficiencies to class-based fitness businesses.
Since becoming part of the Jonas Leisure stable last year, it has released a series of new features and updates designed to benefit both new and existing customers. Udio’s course management software provides a unique ability to manage students, instructors, sessions and bookings with ease.
Online booking
Customers have grown to love and expect the ability to make online bookings. Whether they’re booking a class from home, work, or on the go, customers want the ability to book in their own time.
Udio’s ‘Online Bookings’ feature allows both new and existing customers to book online through its Customer Portal.
After signing in - or signing up if they’re new - customers can book directly into your available courses, assessments or school holiday programs. Within their online portal, customers can advise when they can’t attend a lesson, view the number of make-up lessons they have available, book a make-up lesson, view all upcoming bookings, and even move their booking to another time or day.
Once a customer has confirmed the booking, a fee is raised for them to pay. For operators with a Stripe account for online payments through their website, customers can pay through recurring or online payments immediately. Not only is Udio’s Online Booking feature great for giving customers a seamless experience, it also saves staff time.
Once a customer books through Online Booking, no follow-up call is required from the operator’s staff team.
Direct debit
Customers want simple and hassle-free payment processes. Using direct debit means payments are automatic and customers won’t need to think about manually paying their membership fee each week, month or season. Direct debit also ensures your customers are always on time with their payments and your staff won’t be left chasing outstanding amounts.
Udio also offers direct debiting through Merchant Warrior.
Noticeboard
Udio’s base system allows operators to stream content, such as slides, directly to TVs or tablets within businesses.
Email template tags
Udio has created a new email tag that lets operators email customers about their outstanding payments advising the exact amount they owe, so staff aren’t left to follow up on outstanding amounts from customers.
Billing groups
Udio’s ‘Billing Groups’ feature gives operators the ability to group specific customers together and offer them an alternative fee. As an example, school swimming clubs may be charged at a different rate than private individuals. Udio gives operators the ability to select a suitable package for the unique group.
Attendance sheets
Mindful that efficient and clear attendance sheets are crucial , Udio records and an attendee’s start date in a course in the ’Attendance Sheets’ feature. Also, if the attendee is taking a make-up class, this will be displayed on the sheet for that session and any cancelled lessons will display as a grey square.
