read moreWelcoming 16 million visitors in 2023, Universal Studios Japan has been identified as most visited amusement and theme parks in the Asia-Pacific region.
As identified by market data analysts Statista, Universal Studios Japa’s visitation also ranked it among the top five leading amusement parks worldwide.
With theme park attendances returning to pre-pandemic levels, Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea were also ranked in Asia’s most visited amusement and theme parks in 2023.
With theme parks across Asia having been either fully or partially closed through 2020 as a result of the pandemic, visitor numbers made a recovery in 2021 - although with visitor numbers staying below 2019 attendance levels.

In 2023, the top 20 theme parks recorded a positive growth in attendance compared to 2022 with parks leading the rise.
Fantawild Holdings
With seven of its amusement parks being among the most visited in Asia, China-based Fantawild Holdings - operating 35 theme parks - is becoming Asia's leading theme park operator.
Compared to 2022, Fantawild Group had the most significant growth in visitors in 2023 with 179% year-on-year growth at Zhengzhou Fantawild Adventure the most marked.
