read moreVenuesWest has announced the addition of the What Ability Foundation to its successful Community Partner Program for a two-year-period.
Now in its eighth year, the VenuesWest Community Partner Program assists a select group of charity organisations to achieve their core objectives, with the What Ability Foundation joining existing partners Good Sammy Enterprises and Asthma WA.
What Ability Foundation is an Australian NFP charity that unlocks ticketed experiences for people living with a disability and their families.
The charity was established by former NRL player, Steve Dresler, to fund and facilitate experiences for people living with a disability or diminished capacity and their families across Australia.
Scouts WA has also been appointed as the Program’s Containers for Change partner for a two-year-period, continuing to manage the recycling of containers across VenuesWest's self-managed and co-managed venues.
Funds received by VenuesWest through the Containers for Change scheme are passed directly on to community partners.
Explaining how these invaluable partnerships increase the reach of VenuesWest across Western Australia each year, VenuesWest Chief Executive, David Etherton advised “it is a privilege to support these charities and I hope that the benefits of this program create a long-lasting impact for those who need it most.
“The Community Partner Program gives back to the Western Australian community, and I am proud to see that VenuesWest are providing significant benefits for these charities to build positive connections within the community.”
Delighted that the What Ability Foundation is part of the program, Dresler added “I am so proud to see our Foundation partner with VenuesWest, and together we'll unlock unforgettable experiences, creating memories that will truly last a lifetime for so many families living in WA.
“With VenuesWest by our side over the next two years, we will have access to world-class venues and a passionate team who share our vision.
“Together, we will do extraordinary things.”
The Program has farewelled OzHarvest WA and St Catherine's College Dandjoo Darbalung Indigenous Support Program with Etherton thanking them for their ongoing contributions during their partnerships.
