Held over two nights at The Star, Sydney at the weekend, Jetts Nowra was named the Small Business Champion Gym while Gerringong-baed Soul Fit Co, owned by Korin Koutsomihalis, received the Small Business Champion Fitness Service award.
Welcoming being recognised as the Small Business Champion Gym, Club Manager Alanna West took to social media to advise “thank you to our amazing team from our support office crew at Jetts Australia who place culture and community at the forefront of all they do.
“Our amazing team and members - you create an environment that inspires so many to find the best versions of themselves.
“We are proud to advocate for improved quality of life in our beautiful club, the Shoalhaven and in Australia.”
Koutsomihalis, a past AUSactive award winner, operates Soul Fit Co at Gerringong’s Werri Beach Gerringong.
Jetts Nowra was also award winning at the AUSactive Awards in Melbourne last year.
The annual Australian Small Business Champion Awards - the nation's pinnacle recognition awards program - celebrates the achievements and considerable economic, social, and cultural contribution of today's 2.5 million small business operators from across the country.
This year marks the program’s 26th consecutive year and its most successful year to date, with more entries received than any year prior.
An independent national survey recently commissioned by Precedent Productions, which co-ordinates the awards, found that cashflow and profitability are the top concerns of all small business owners today.
Advising that now more than ever is the time to strongly support the nation's hardest-working sector, Steve Loe, Australian Small Business Champion Awards founder and Precedent Productions Managing Director, stated "I believe the resilience of Australia's small business community is more evident today than ever before in recent memory, and it is absolutely deserving of national recognition.”
The 2024 Australian Small Business Champion Awards are supported by presenting partner the Commonwealth Bank, and major partners Nine Ad Manager, NOVA Employment, Castaway Forecasting, Big Clean, Xcllusive Business Sales and Boa.
