read moreThe World Leisure Organisation has advised that the 17th World Leisure Congress, due to be held in Dunedin, has been rescheduled to 11th to 15th December 2023.
Originally planned for December this year, fears over border closures and their potential to impact this global event, have led event hosts the University of Otago to delay the event.
In a statement, World Leisure advise “ensuring the world leisure community can meet in person at the congress is of crucial importance and moving to 2023 will allow more certainty around international travel while still giving everyone a chance to visit New Zealand during the summer.”

14th March 2022 - World Leisure Day returns for second year
22nd December 2021 - Nepal trekking project secures 2021 World Leisure International Innovation Prize
3rd September 2021 - Submissions invited for Dunedin’s 2022 hosting of the World Leisure Congress
2nd August 2021 - World Leisure invites special session proposals and abstracts for 2022 Congress in Dunedin
