Global event and exhibition organiser RX, organiser of Germany’s annual FIBO convention, has advised that it will host a Saudi Arabian edition of the world´s leading exhibition for health, fitness and wellness as of next year.

Set to take place at the Riyadh Front Exhibition and Conference Centre from 1st to 3rd October 2025, FIBO Saudi - For a strong and healthy society aims to provide a platform for regional and international companies to connect with potential clients, partners, and distributors in the Kingdom, as well as a platform for consumers.

With the Saudi Arabian sport and fitness industry experiencing rapid growth, the prevalence of health issues and rising health consciousness among the Saudi population are driving increased demand for gyms and fitness clubs, which has presented opportunities for several international brands to enter the local market.

In 2023, the Kingdom’s Ministry of Investment announced a total value of more than US$7.1 billion for Saudi Arabia’s sports sector, a significant increase from US$6.3 billion in 2022. This growth can be largely attributed to government-led initiatives such as Vision 2030, which have fuelled rapid expansion in the country’s sport and fitness sectors.

Vision 2030 and health and wellness
Under Vision 2030, the Saudi Government has launched the National Transformation Plan, which aims to enhance health and wellness among its population. The target is to increase the physically active population from 13% to 40% by 2030. Other initiatives include the Quality of Life program - which aims to increase public participation in sports and athletic activities and reach regional and global excellence in select professional sports.

FIBO Saudi’s vision is to create a strong fitness industry and a healthy society. Over the course of three days, FIBO Saudi will bring together key players from around the world in the health, fitness, and wellness sectors. It will offer business and networking opportunities, educational sessions, and live, interactive experiences.

FIBO Saudi will feature a variety of segments, including Fitness Equipment, Hospitality, Sports Nutrition, Fitness Technology, Sports Medical Equipment, Functional Training and Wellness Equipment.
