Krenz, the former Director of Reed Exhibitions’ The Fitness Show, took to social media to advise “after five long years, missing out on the ultimate fitness experience that is the AusFitness Expo … the wait is finally over for the people of Melbourne.”
Staged at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th April, the Expo welcomed over 10,000 fitness enthusiasts to Australia’s first major fitness event of the year.
Aimed at all types of fitness and active lifestyle participants, members and enthusiasts, the ‘bigger than ever’ Melbourne event presented a high-energy celebration of fitness and health culture showcasing well known and innovative new brands, national sporting competitions, Australia’s best athletes, global fitness icons as well as the latest fitness products and gym gear.
From the launch of Spartan’s DEKA STRONG to the intense CrossFit Expo Games, the ICN Oceania Muscle & Model Competition and the gripping Oceania Strongman Championships, the AusFitness Expo offered a diverse and exhilarating experience for attendees.
The Expo also provided a platform for showcasing the latest trends and innovations in the fitness industry and served as a hub for like-minded individuals to come together and celebrate their shared passion for health and fitness.
Expressing his delight at the overwhelming success of the event, Krenz advised “after a long hiatus since 2019, Melbourne's fitness community deserved an event of this magnitude.
“We're overjoyed with the launch's success and excited about the potential for growth. The Expo was more than a festival; it was a testament to the vibrancy of fitness culture.
“Seeing the collective energy and passion was nothing short of inspiring. We're proud to offer a platform that unites and invigorates the fitness community and we're thrilled to announce that we will be back in Melbourne bigger and better on the 29th and 30th of March next year."
It also featured the 2024 AUSactive Active Health Summit.
AusFitness Expo’s second event of the year will be held at ICC Sydney from Friday 11th to Sunday 13th October.
Krenz's "five year" reference was to the last time The Fitness Show was held in Melbourne.
