City Venue Management announces new leadership structure to drive growth and innovation
December 18, 2024

City Venue Management (CVM) has announced a pivotal transformation in its organisational structure and leadership team, with Reece Rackley transitioning to the newly created role of Group Chief Executive and Jay Clarke assuming the role of Chief Executive.

Positioning the company for ambitious future growth, after years of leadership, Rackley has transitioned into the newly created role of Group Chief Executive. As the founding leader of CVM, Rackley has played a central role in shaping the organisation’s identity and steering its remarkable growth.

His new position will focus on the strategic direction of CVM and its associated businesses under the Group structure, ensuring alignment with long-term goals.

Throughout CVM’s journey, Rackley has been supported by his long-time business partner, Clarke, who has worked alongside him to build CVM into an industry leader. As Rackley’s trusted business partner and a key leader in the business, Clarke has been instrumental in CVM’s operational success and expansion.

Formerly Managing Director, his promotion reflects both his expertise and his unwavering commitment to CVM’s future.

Under Clarke’s leadership, CVM will focus on operational excellence, innovative solutions and strengthening community engagement. His deep understanding of the organisation’s values and strategic vision ensures a seamless leadership transition, setting the stage for continued success.

Commenting on the change, Rackley advised “this transition represents an exciting new phase for City Venue Management. Jay and I have worked side by side to build a company that not only delivers operational excellence but also makes a meaningful impact in our communities.

“It’s been a privilege to lead CVM, and I’m confident that Jay, supported by our exceptional leadership team, will continue to drive the company forward while staying true to our core values."

Clarke added “it’s an honour to take on the role of CEO and continue the journey that Reece and I began together. CVM’s success has always been built on collaboration, innovation, and a commitment to excellence.

“I’m excited to lead our team into this next phase, focused on achieving our shared goals and delivering exceptional outcomes for our communities."

Two Key Leadership Appointments
Supporting this transition, Nicky Sloan will step into the role of Chief Operating Officer. Known for her ability to lead and inspire high-performing teams, Sloan brings a hands-on leadership approach that drives exceptional performance outcomes.

In her new role, she will focus on fostering a culture of excellence, aligning teams with CVM’s strategic objectives, and ensuring the delivery of outstanding results across the organisation’s diverse portfolio.

Newly appointed as Chief People Officer, Riette Anderson will play a pivotal role in continuing to foster CVM’s positive workplace culture, ensuring it remains a supportive and engaging environment for all team members. With a focus on building and developing high-performing teams, Riette will lead initiatives that drive employee growth, satisfaction, and alignment with CVM’s strategic goals. Her leadership will be instrumental in strengthening CVM’s position as an employer of choice in the industry.
