Fast growing boutique gym, One Playground, is introducing Semi-Private Reformer Pilates at its new wellness destination, Urban Oasis, in Sydney’s Surry Hills, launching this summer.

The Urban Oasis will feature the first Semi-Private Reformer Pilates studio at One Playground, dedicated solely to small group classes.

Semi-Private Reformer Pilates is an innovative concept designed to provide personalised attention with the program bridging the gap between private coaching and traditional group training, offering an affordable middle ground.

Urban Oasis is situated on the corner of Holt Street, Surry Hills with the wellness destination offering an escape from the concrete jungle into a haven of rejuvenation and recovery. With a commitment to nurturing mind, body and soul, the Urban Oasis will host over 150 classes weekly.

Justin Ashley, Chief Executive and Co-Founder notes “Semi-Private Training bridges the gap between 1:1 instruction and large group settings. It provides the benefits of personal attention at a more accessible price point. At just $35 per class, we provide an effective alternative to more expensive personal sessions.”

What is Semi-Private Reformer Pilates?
Semi-Private sessions offer an experience similar to group training, but with one critical difference: each session is capped at six participants, ensuring a more intimate and supportive environment. The sessions are tailored towards outcome-based programming, with each program running for eight weeks. This consistent group dynamic fosters deeper  connections between instructors and participants. The classes follow a specific program that builds week-on-week to ensure progressive overload and the development of new skills.

The Semi-Private offering will encompass six core formats:

1. Centre – build a strong, stable core
2. Build – strength-focused sessions to enhance power and endurance
3. Align – a balanced class to improve posture, balance, and mobility
4. Tone – a full body workout targeting all major muscle groups
5. Prenatal – support and strengthen your body during pregnancy
6. Postnatal – restore core strength and support recovery after childbirth
